Committee endorses candidates

Hugh Reiley, chairman of the Schuylkill County Party, announces that at its regular monthly meeting of Feb. 16,the Schuylkill County Democratic Executive Committee endorsed the candidates for Supreme Court, Superior Court, and Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. The people endorsed are as follows:

For the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania:Judge Dwayne D. Woodruff, who is currently a judge on the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas, having served in the NFL as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.For the Superior Court of Pennsylvania:Judge Deborah A. Kunselman, rated highly recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission. She is presently a judge on the Court of Common Pleas in Beaver County.Judge Maria C. McLaughlin recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission. She presently serves as a family law judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.Judge H. Geoffrey Moulton Jr., rated highly recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission, who presently serves as a judge on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.Judge Carolyn H. Nichols, recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission, who presently serves as a member of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.For the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania:State Rep. Bryan E. Barbin, recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission, presently serving as a member of the House of Representatives in Pennsylvania.R. Todd Eagen, recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Evaluation Commission, who is presently a practicing attorney in Wilkes-Barre.The Executive Committee found it meaningful and impressive that all of the judicial candidates were rated either highly recommended or recommended by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Commission, and a large number of the candidates are presently serving as judges in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.Hugh ReillySchuylkill County Democratic Committee Chairman
