Carbon Planning Commission

The Carbon County planning commission made recommendations on projects this week:

• Stabilis Split Rock JV LLC received approval for the proposed residential development, Willowbrook at Split Rock, following Kidder Township supervisors granting tentative approval last October. The proposed revisions that were submitted address all comments from the township, engineers, planning commission, conservation district and state.• Francis and Patricia Hofferica received conditional plan rejection for their proposed lot line revision at 107 Hunter Lane, Indian Mountain Lakes, section L, Penn Forest Township. Their plans call for combining two lots into a new .9154-acre lot.• Jeffrey and Melissa Hall received conditional plan approval for their proposed lot line revision at 4920 Interchange Road, Towamensing Township. Their plan calls for combining two parcels into one to create a 60.4024-acre lot.• Lloyd Otto LLC, received conditional plan rejection for a proposed subdivision at a Rock Street property that has been in the works since 1987. Meixell said that the project was approved in 1987, but none of the stormwater facilities have been maintained and permits are expired. He said that the current plan called for subdividing the 39.848-acre lot into two parcels but it doesn't meet the definition of a minor subdivision and outlined a number of issues that must be addressed.- Amy Miller
