A Barnesville man was placed in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville on Sept. 21 after he took a relative's car without permission.

Ryan Township Police were alerted to the missing car, a green 2011 Kia Sorrento, on Sept. 18.Orwigsburg Police saw the Kia on Sept. 21, speeding through the borough. They were able to stop the car and identify the driver as Gary Schrepple Jr., 28.He was arraigned before District Magistrate Christina Hale on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Schrepple was lodged in the prison in lieu of $15,000 straight bail.
