A Financial Aid Workshop will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5 at Lehighton Area High School, 1000 Union St., Lehighton, in the cafeteria.

Joe Alaimo, financial aid director from LaSalle University, will be on hand to guide parents/guardians through an important first step in financial planning for college.The workshop will include "What Financial Aid is All About" and a "hands-on" activity completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.Register with the guidance office at 610-377-7600 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as soon as possible.
