Police issue harrassment charges

Police report the following harassment incidents:

• Melissa Filer, 45, of North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, was cited by Tamaqua police after a disturbance on Oct. 1Officers were called to Filer's address at 7:38 p.m. They were met by a Summit Hill woman, who said she and Filer had been arguing and that Filer punched her in the chest. She was cited for harassment.• State police at Frackville charged Michael A. Bearden Jr., 20, of Pottstown, with harassment and domestic assault after an incident against a woman at 6 a.m. Oct. 6 at 9 Back St., Mahanoy Township.Police said the two were involved in an argument which escalated when Bearden assaulted a woman by pulling her hair and arms.• State police at Frackville said Paul Samuel Hutnick, 46, of Ashland, was cited following an incident that occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday at 1010 W. Centre St., Ashland. Troopers said Hutnick and his girlfriend had a domestic dispute. The woman's cousin attempted to stop the argument. Hutnick threw a child's toy which struck her in the back of the head. She did not require medical treatment.
