The board of directors of Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corp. released the bank's earnings for a period ending Sept. 30.

In a year-to-date comparison, the bank's net income was $2.4 million for the nine months ending on Sept. 30. This is $422,000 higher than the same period in 2015. On a per share basis, net income year to date was 79 cents this year compared to 65 cents per share last year.For a quarter-to-date comparison, the net income was $1 million for the preceding three months. This is $420,000 higher than the same period in 2015.On a per share basis, second quarter net income was 33 cents this year versus 19 cents last year.Mauch Chunk Trust Financial Corp. is the parent company of the Mauch Chunk Trust Co., an independent community bank with its main office at 1111 North St., Jim Thorpe. Mauch Chunk Trust operates seven banking offices, including five in Carbon County and two in Schuylkill County.
