McAdoo Police are preparing to file charges against Anthony Owens, 34, of McAdoo, in connection with a traffic stop on Sept. 20.

An officer on patrol saw a white Chevrolet Suburban traveling north on D Street, going the wrong way on a one-way street. He stopped the SUV and identified the driver as Owens, who was unable to provide a license, registration or proof of insurance.A records check showed that Owens' license was suspended, DUI related. The officer also noted the Chevy's inspection sticker was expired and the vehicle registration sticker had been altered, changing it from 3/16 to 8/16.Owens faces a charge of altering a vehicle registration as well as numerous traffic offenses.
