Ross dig finished

A search of a Monroe County home and digging on the property has been concluded, according to state police at Bethlehem.

Troopers served a sealed search warrant on 2368 Woodhaven Drive in Ross Township on Sept. 27. At the time troopers did not release any information concerning the warrant and what, if anything, they were looking for. However speculation was that the search was related to the disappearance of a Lower Macungie Township woman.A relative of the woman, Holly Grim, told the media that troopers had confirmed that the activity at the Monroe site was related to Grim. Erica Seither said, “The troopers have confirmed that Holly’s the reason they’re there, but it is an ongoing investigation so it will take some time.”The press release issued late Wednesday said over the nine days troopers were at the Monroe site, numerous items of evidence were collected. The search has now concluded at the property and the case remains open pending detailed analysis of the items collected, police said.Human bones were found on the property, according to Monroe County coroner Bob Allen.Allen said the bones were sent to a laboratory by state police for analysis and it could take 2 to 4 weeks to identify the bones. He would not comment on where the bones were found on the property.Among the agencies at the site, according to troopers, was the Major Case team, members of PSP Troop M and N, the Pennsylvania Game Commission, New York State Police, Mercyhurst University Forensic Anthropology team, Lehigh and Monroe counties district attorney offices, and the Monroe County coroner. The house is owned by Michael and Cathy Horvath. Michael Horvath, 49, worked at Allen Organ with Grim. Grim, 41, has been missing for almost 3 years, last seen Nov. 22, 2013. She disappeared after dropping off her son at his bus stop in Lower Macungie Township.Signs of a struggle were found inside her home and she was listed as missing-endangered by the state police. There has been no information release concerning the whereabouts of Michael and Cathy Horvath.Police said there will be no further comment on this investigation at this time.
