The agreement, effective retroactive to July 1, renews on that date of each year.Other businessIn other matters, Gerhard read an email from Muncy, Lycoming County, surveyor Tim Wentz, praising the county’s GIS department.“I do surveying in many counties across Pennsylvania, and often struggle to get good GIS and tax information due to poor systems or poor personnel. Carbon County is one exception to that. I often contact Jason Shellhammer of your GIS department, and he is extremely knowledgeable of the resources contained in the GIS department, and is willing to share those resources,” Wentz wrote. He said the cooperation means more cost-effective surveying for the public, and that Carbon’s GIS staff should be commended for their work.
