Let it end

Whoever is our candidate, I think we are can agree we are all ready for this election to end.

To date, in my recollection, no other election has had the confounding and dangerous effects this one has had.Its revelations in print, on social media and alike have all been tremendously candid and revealing. To me, the media, the parties and the incumbents are showing well their backers are not the American people. It's seemed stories are low on fact, or perhaps too high on opinion that few facts are evident. The "news" has been sooooo editorialized, we need to wash the ashes of the "reporting" from our eyes to find facts, if there are indeed any, especially any in original context.I am so tired of it all. This is why I think we need prayers to help our country. Nocandidate, party or its ideals will help our nation or the people of America; God will. Our Gospel today was from Luke 8:40-56. It's one story which contains two miracles: one sought by a woman who knew if she but touched Jesus' robe, she would find healing. The other sought Jesus to cure his daughter from a disease which seemed to have claimed her life before he arrived. In each case, Jesus was sought out for help, and his timing for healing and done within his time frame. My favorite statement was when Jesus was told Jarius' daughter had died and he told those in his presence: "Do not be afraid; just have faith."I think that should be our focus:1. Like those in that story - seek Jesus in prayer.2. "Do not be afraid; just have faith."Please, dear God - bless America!Jean M. PaslawskyTamaqua
