Lehighton State Police -- Theft reports

State police at Lehighton are investigating several thefts.

Lawn mower stolen:State police are calling the theft of a lawn mower from a shed in Ross Township a burglary.The incident happened between 10:30 a.m. Aug. 27 and 10:35 a.m. Oct. 23 ata Dogwood Lane residence.The victim, a 50-year-old man from Rocky Point, New York, reported someone stole a red Snapper lawn tractor from an unlocked barn on his property.Debit card used:A 32-year-old Saylorsburg man is alleged to have used a woman’s debit card without authorization. The incident is being investigated by state police.The victim is a 68-year-old woman from the 900 block of Weir Lake Road in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.Police didn’t identify the man who they said made several ATM transactions using her card between Oct. 6-17.Identity theft:A 61-year-old Eldred Township woman is the victim ofan identity theft case that is being investigated by state police.The incident happened ata Smale Lane residence in the township.Police said the victim’s identity was stolen and two unauthorized purchases were made with her Discover credit card.Jewelry boxes stolen:State police are investigating a burglary that happened between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 21 at a homeon Drift Road in Palmerton.The victim, a 69-year-old woman, reported that someone removed the glass window from the screen door located on the back porch of the residence. Once inside, the intruder stole three jewelry boxes.Inspection sticker missing:State police are investigating a theft of an inspection sticker from a Palmerton area service station. The victim is AMX Service Station, 85 Berger Hill Road.Police said during an audit of their inspections, the owners discovered that an inspection sticker is missing.Generator, tools stolen:A generator and miscellaneous tools were stolen in a burglary that happened between 5 p.m. Oct. 18 and 5 p.m. Oct. 20 at a location onHoward Court in Saylorsburg.A 74-year-old man from Saylorsburg reported someone cut a lock off his shed and stole the items.
