Rush Township supervisors last week:

• Approved the Hometown Fire Police to assist the Tamaqua Fire Police with the Memorial Day Parade on May 30 and the Rubber Duck Race from 1-4 p.m. June 19, on Elm Street.• Announced that the township building will be closed on May 30, in observance of Memorial Day, and that if garbage is supposed to be collected on that Monday, it will be collected on May 31.
