The Pleasant Valley school board last weekaddressed a number of business matters that needed approval.
The directors approved a $14,500 contract with Barry Isett Associates for the design for stairs and a ramp at the intermediate school as well as $3,500 for a used golf cart.Additionally, the directors approved an $153,982 upgrade to the wireless service at the high school and $63,176 to upgrade the phone system for the district, and a $10,230 projector for the high school.Of the directors present, only Susan Kresge voted no on all of the business purchases."I am sure that the phone system has a few glitches in it," Kresge said. "But I am sure we could live with it, if we had to. But I think that professional development in support of our teachers is more important. That is why I say no."Directors Steve Borger and Linda Micklos were not in attendance.- Judy Dolgos-Kramer
