Eight Jim Thorpe students honored

Eight Jim Thorpe Area High School students who attained Student of the Month status during this school year were honored Tuesday by the Jim Thorpe Lions Club.

The Lions Club program was held in the Jim Thorpe Area High School cafeteria.The students are:• Christopher W. Widdicombe, business education.• Steven Jaramillo- Acosta, physical education.• Meghan Kathryn Donohoe, music.• Briea Alveda Bush, art.• Ray Hurley, technical education.• Cheyenne M. Davison, German.• Declan Eric Behan, computer technology.• Monique Elise Jervier, Spanish.Lions Club members presented each student with a plaque.Lions Club president Sandy Gallagher said the students were chosen by the faculty of the high school.She said this is the 42nd year the Lions have been recognizing the academic success of Jim Thorpe High School seniors.
