State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a three-vehicle, rear-end crash along Route 61 in Norwegian Township, Schuylkill County at 5:05 p.m. Thursday in which one driver was cited.

Troopers said Robert J. Rulavage, 43, of New Philadelphia, driving a 2008 Subaru Outback; Thomas F. Hale, 67, of Ashland, driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma; and Janet E. Kasmari, 63, of Saint Clair, driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty, were all northbound in the right lane. Troopers said Kasmari stopped for a red traffic light at the intersection with Tunnel Road, with Hale behind her. Troopers said Rulavage failed to stop and his vehicle struck the area of Hale's, pushing it into the rear of Kasmari's. Hale sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene.Troopers cited Rulavage for following too closely.
