EDWARDSVILLE (AP) - Authorities say a homeless man whose decomposing body was found in a wooded area behind a northeastern Pennsylvania Kmart shopping plaza had been stabbed to death.

State police in Luzerne County say the body of 49-year-old Kurt Swann was found Saturday behind the Kmart Shopping Plaza in Edwardsville.A forensic pathologist said Tuesday that Swan died of multiple stab wounds. Authorities described him as homeless and said they didn't know how long his body had been there.The (Wilkes-Barre) Times Leader said he was interviewed in 2012 and had been living in a camp in Kirby Park near the Susquehanna River, not far from where his body was found.Authorities are asking anyone with information about his death to call investigators.
