Tamaqua Area School Board, on a 7-0 vote Tuesday, with directors Thomas Rottet and Wanda Zuber absent, approved the following coaches for the 2016-17 school year:

• Thomas I. Kanger, Jr, head cross country coach, and head track and field coach• William A. Kaczmarczyk, head golf coach• Terry Knoblauch, head junior high football coach• William Brad Murphy, assistant junior high football coach• Matthew DeAngelo, volunteer assistant junior high football coach• Devan Sweeney, volunteer assistant volleyball coach• Christopher Hartung, volunteer assistant volleyball coach• Courtney Mundy, volunteer assistant volleyball coach
