Troopers investigate 3 break-ins, thefts

State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries - one in Monroe County and the other in Carbon County. An attempted break-in in Carbon is also being investigated.

A break-in occurred at 124 Winky Lane, in Ross Township, Monroe County. A metal storage building on the property was entered by cutting a lock off the front door. Removed from the building was a DeWalt 4.5 air compressor, an 8-foot by 4-foot utility trailer, Honda generator, Stihl chain-saw, six extension cords and a tool bag containing various Craftsman tools. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight on June 14. The victim isfrom Lehighton.An unoccupied home at 340 Covered Bridge Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, was entered and once inside the criminals removed radiators and copper piping. The home isin foreclosure, troopers said. The entry occurred sometime between May 22 and Friday.The attempted break-in also occurred at an abandoned home at 625 Pine St., Bowmanstown. The criminals caused damages to a garage door and a secondary access point in an attempt to gain entry. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 2:47 p.m. Saturday.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
