State police at Frackville are investigating a theftat a Schuylkill County service station.

Troopers said Edward Tomko, 36, of Bealeton, Virginia, and his 14-year-old daughter were at the Speedway Service Station, located at 520 S. Lehigh Ave., West Mahanoy Township, at 12:45 p.m. on Friday when the girl placed her LG cellphone in a dark purple case next to a counter near a slushie machine. The two left the station and drove away, later realizing what had happened.Tomko drove back to the station but the phone was gone. The phone is valued at about $100.
