Carbon County Commissioners approved a number of personnel moves last week:

• Employment separation: Stephen P. Vlossak Sr. of Palmerton, temporary assistant public defender, effective June 19.• Resignation: Robert J. Bevich of Summit Hill, summer supervisor, Liquid Fuels Summer program, effective June 10.• Resignation: Linda C. Curry of Lansford, part-time corrections officer, effective June 26.• Resignation: Charles J. Puzzetti III of Weatherly, part-time dispatcher trainee, Communications Center, effective June 10.• Resignation: Shelby A. Zeravsky of Bath, corrections officer, effective June 24.• Change of status: Patrick E. Crowley of Jim Thorpe, from summer laborer to summer supervisor, Liquid Fuels Summer program, effective June 20.• Change of status: Jarryd C. Ruch of Palmerton, from part-time corrections officer/Teamsters to corrections officer, effective July 4.• Hire: Jacqueline Nalesnik of Lansford, part-time cleaning person, buildings and grounds, effective June 20.• Hire: Ryan M. Taras of Nesquehoning, summer laborer, Liquid Fuels, effective June 20.• Hire: Kelsey Van Horn of Nesquehoning, lifeguard, Mauch Chunk Lake Park, effective June 26.Other actionsThe commissioners also approved the following actions:• Authorized the submission of the 2016 Emergency Solutions Grant application. The grant totals $140,030, with $40,000 for Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services and $100,030 for Family Promise.The grant would be used to help with emergency shelter operations at Family Promise and enable CCAC to expand its emergency housing services through the Rapid Rehousing Services and Homelessness Prevention Services. A public hearing on the grant application was held during the commissioners' meeting last week.• Award the contract for the Community Development Block Grant project in Packer Township to Reilly Mechanical and Construction of Minersville at a cost of $33,440, for siding for the Weatherly Area Community Library.• Approve an addenda to the agreement for professional services as conflict counsel in criminal and juvenile matters pending before the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas. The addenda revises the agreements with attorneys Robert S. Frycklund and Adam Weaver for the remaining term expiring Aug. 31. Any additional assignments in excess of the original 40 cases will be compensated at $625 per assignment.
