Richie Failla had four hits Wednesday to help Franklin Township defeat Tamaqua Blue, 16-7, in a Panther Valley 11-12 year-old Little League tournament tiebreaker game.

Randy Bongiorno aided the winning cause with a double and two singles, while Jack Lorenz and Brayden Lutz both contributed three hits.Jacob Neeb gained the pitching win. Josh Steigerwalt finished on the mound for Franklin Township.Nate Wiekersham hit two homers for Tamaqua, while Anthony Coccio added a homer and single. Teammate Jerome Balliet chipped in with two hits.Franklin and Tamaqua Blue finished tied for first place with Jim Thorpe in the final tournament standings. FT's win sends the team to tonight's title game against Thorpe. The contest will start at 6 p.m. at Lansford.
