A LOOK BACK

Dora Tartar, reading supervisor of the Pleasant Valley School District, has become president of the Colonial Association of Reading Educators, an affiliate of the International Reading Association.Tartar succeeds Marilena Santos as head of the 196-member council.Also elected officers for 1991-92 are Dr. Katherine Mack, vice president of membership; David Weinman, vice president of programs; Stephanie Romano, recording secretary; Santos, corresponding secretary; and Carol Flamini, treasurer.CARE is a professional organization of classroom teachers, reading specialists, administrators, librarians and parents serving Monroe, Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties.
