Connie L. Biederman, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, recently celebrated her 92nd birthday.

Born in Philadelphia on July 1, 1924, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Leona Oettle.Connie graduated from the Philadelphia High School for girls in 1942. Following graduation she went to work at the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia where she worked for 37 years. She started as a file clerk and later became assistant coordinator.She married the love of her life, Fred Biederman, in 1948. She and Fred were avid campers and enjoyed camping at Hickory Run State Park from 1949 to 1959. In 1959 they purchased a trailer for their weekend getaways. As a hobby they traveled to various points of interest all over the U.S.Soon after Connie retired in 1979 she and Fred moved to Albrightsville. They were married for 54 years until his death in 2002.Connie has a real appreciation for music and played the mandolin when she was younger. She is an avid reader and enjoys crocheting. She is past worthy matron of her chapter in the Order of the Eastern Star and belonged to Daughters of the Nile. She was the secretary and treasurer of the Jim Thorpe Senior Citizens, a member of the Weatherly Senior Citizens and former member of the American Legion.
