A Tamaqua woman picked up on Dec. 18 on an outstanding arrest warrant is facing additional charges.

Taryn Depos, 29, whose address was 216 Owl Creek Road, was picked up on Center Street after police received a tip about her whereabouts. She was wanted for failing to appear in court and was taken directly to the office of District Judge Stephen Bayer.Depos had a baggie containing four Xanax pills.The judge dissolved the warrant after Depos said she moved and didn't receive the notice to appear. She gave her new address as 302 Mahanoy St.The confiscated drugs were sent to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab and were positively identified as Alprazolam. As Depos does not have a prescription for the drug, she will now be charged with possession of a controlled substance.
