Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Weiss of Coaldale are celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. They were married on Feb. 3, 1962, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Lehighton by Rev. Wyatt and Rev. Diehl.

Mrs. Weiss is the former Ruth M. Wittig, daughter of the late Carl L. Wittig Sr. and Nettie (Burns) Wittig of Lehighton. Her husband is the son of the late Curtis Weiss and Helen (Kelowitz) Weiss of Lehighton.The couple have three children: Todd Weiss of Coaldale; Tanya Kessler and her husband, James, of Coaldale; and Dawn Glantz and her husband, Henry, of Mahoning Valley.They have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
