McAdoo Police have filed charges against two men they picked up on Jan. 24 while assisting Rush Township Police with a retail theft incident.

Rush Township Police were looking for Joshua Gundry, 27, in connection with the theft of $472.28 in merchandise from the HT Commons Walmart. They received a tip that he was at 70 S. Kennedy Drive in McAdoo and requested assistance in his arrest.Gundry was found in the home, along with Daniel Schwartz of McAdoo.A records check found a warrant for Schwartz, filed by Luzerne County officials.As officers searched the men, they found two hypodermic needles and a glass pipe on Gundry and three hypodermic needles on Schwartz.Gundry was jailed in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville in lieu of $5,000 bail. Schwartz was turned over to Luzerne County authorities.McAdoo Police have filed charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against both men.
