Vehicle crashes after medical episode

State police at Frackville said a man suffered a medical episode while driving a vehicle on Route 61 in Blythe Township at 4:42 p.m. Dec. 18, causing it to crash on The Frackville Grade.

Police said about half way down the hill between Frackville and St. Clair, Kevin B. Kellner, 37, of Frackville, suffered the episode, which caused him to black out and temporarily lose consciousness.Police said his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado went off the roadway onto the left shoulder and collided with the buried end of a guide rail. It then rode along the rail for a short distance before coming to rest on top of the rail facing south.Police said Kellner was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East, in the Shenandoah ambulance for a medical evaluation.Police said he was cited in the crash.
