Thank you for the very fine opinion from Jim Zbick inthe Times News on Aug. 16, 2016. I've been worried about this and our dear nation and our offspring's knowledge of it all ever since I understood about this thing called "common core." I'll not even try to improve upon his words because he tells it like it is.I don't know how we can get our grand American history back in our schools, or how we can bring it to the many, many who have graduated our schools without it. I fear we have lost more than was supposed to have been gained by this destructive "teaching tool" that has been imposed upon our schools even without most of us parents and grandparents realizing what was happening.God help us, he has been taken from our schools, we've allowed our American history to be taken out, and now, what else will be taken and hidden from our young learners?Again, thank you for putting the good opinion written by Mr. Zbick in your paper, and thank you to Mr. Zbick.Ruthann SchlechtLehighton
