The Palmerton Area Library announced the winners of its annual Student Art Show for students ages 6 through 18. The entries were judged in two age categories: 6-12 and 13-18.

The winners are:• Aidan Casey won first place in the 6-12 age group for his acrylic painting titled "The Beach."• Second place in the 6-12 age group was awarded to Owen Leyan-Uhler for his acrylic painting "Fall Pumpkins."• Riley Zelienka won first place in the 13-18 age group with her oil painting titled "Time to Ride."• And Chris Chambliss won second place in the 13-18 age group with his photo "Fire.""Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who entered this year," said Diane Danielson, the director of the library.The awards presentation was held Aug. 6. The art show was sponsored by the Friends of the Library association. Members of the association provided prizes for the top four entries and snacks and drinks for all.
