Jim Thorpe Area High School will be hosting a welcoming orientation and luncheon for new district students. The event is 10:30 a.m. to 12:30

p.m.Aug. 18 at the high school commons.The orientation is open to ninth- through 12th-grade students who are new to the district, the students' parents and guardians. Students and parents/guardians will be able to meet with current Jim Thorpe students, ask questions, and take a tour of the high school.
