Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:19 p.m. Saturdayon Interchange Road in Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Shyanne L. Mitchell, 22, of Effort, the driver of the vehicle, and Glenn J. Tanner, 30, of Gilbert, a passenger, suffered minor injuries. A second passenger, Jason L. Lebar, 35, also of Effort, was not injured.Police said Mitchell was driving a 1998 Dodge F-150 northbound on Interchange Road and approached the area of 4720 Interchange Road when it came upon a legally stopped vehicle in the roadway attempting to negotiate a left turn onto Ridge View Drive. Police said the F-150 failed to come to a proper stop, drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree with its left front wheel area and overturned, landing on its wheels. The truck came to rest about 20 feet from the initial impact.Police said Mitchell was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
