State police at Frackville reported investigating two burglaries at two Schuylkill County locations.

A break-in occurred at the Gasway Fuel Station, along Route 61 in New Castle Township, just north of Saint Clair. At 12:18 a.m., criminals used a prying tool to open the locked front door. They were apparently scared off when the alarm system activated. Nothing was reported missing by the owner.A Girardville man reported his residence in the 130 block of West Ogden Street, was entered and $400 and an unknown amount of prescription medication was stolen. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 8:30 p.m. July 23.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
