A Tamaqua woman chose the wrong time to walk by the Tamaqua Police Station on April 17.

An officer was outside the station at 9:20 p.m., preparing to go on patrol when he saw Elizabeth Jean Ostrowski, 46, of 539 E. Elm St., walk around the corner of the building. Unfortunately for Ostrowski, the officer knew there was an active warrant posted for her arrest.The warrant was confirmed and she was taken to the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville.
