A Tamaqua man is facing charges following a vehicle stop in Lehigh County.

Upper Macungie Township police said James Beasley, 38, was stopped at 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 along Hamilton Boulevard near Mosser Road, for traffic violations. At the stop Beasley showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.Police also learned that Beasley had a warrant for his arrest issued out of Lehigh County for failure to appear. Beasley was also driving under DUI-related suspension and was in possession of illegal narcotics. Police said charges were filed.
