Carbon OKs personnel moves

Carbon County commissioners on Thursday approved a number of personnel moves.

They accepted the resignation of corrections officer Mark J. Lambert of Albrightsville, effective Sept. 12, and a change of status of James S. Romankow of Lansford from part-time corrections officer to full time, effective Sept. 28.Commissioners also granted a leave of absence extension to corrections officer Andrew S. Yurchak of Jim Thorpe from Sept. 17 through Dec. 17.They also granted several seminar and training requests.Area Agency on Aging: Susan Zeigler for New Directors training in Harrisburg at a cost of meals and mileage if a county vehicle is not available; Anne Horrigan, Cindy Bizarre, and Susan Zeigler for a webinar, "Documenting Nutrition Education and Counseling in SAMS;" and Deena Fital for a webinar, "Medicare Open Enrollment Boot Camp."Children and Youth Services: Megan Crosier for Independent Living Networking meeting in Pittston, Luzerne County, at a cost of meals; and Megan Crosier and Erica Stout for the 2015 Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network fall quarterly meeting in Scranton at a cost of meals.Adult Probation: Ronald Kokinda and Joseph Bettine for Advanced Fundamentals of Handgun Marksmanship in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, at a cost of meals.
