The Schuylkill Coal Crackers 13U travel baseball team won the 2015 Sports at the Beach Dog Days of Summer Tournament held August 7-9 in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The Coal Crackers finished with an impressive record of 5-1 for the weekend, only losing their opening game. They played teams from Delaware, Connecticut, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. They defeated the Port City Outlaws from Williamsport, 15-7, in the championship game. Team members include, front row, from left, Brayden Knoblauch and Jarrett McCabe. Second row, Chris Holler, Aiden Brennan, Jake Ferhat, Nate Boyle, and Zach Chowansky. Third row, Jake Thomas, Reese Kokitus, Will Conroy, Jack Kalinich, Ryan Lindenmuth, and J.C. Rodrian. The Coal Crackers are coached by Bill Conroy, Joe Ferhat, Brian Bender, Brandon Kokitus, and Bill Holler. Knoblauch and Boyle are both from Tamaqua. Boyle was named the Tournament MVP.
