A Slatington driver escaped injury after his vehicle struck a deer. State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred at 1:32 a.m. on Wednesday along Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County.

Troopers said Harold D. Gray III, 64, was driving a 2008 Nissan Quest northbound when he struck a deer that had entered the road in front of him. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
