Two burglaries being investigated

State police at Frackville are investigating two burglaries at two separate Schuylkill County locations.

A break-in occurred at a residence on Wiggan Street in New Philadelphia. The owner reported someone entered his home through an unlocked door on Monday, between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., while he was upstairs. Taken were several DVDs, $400 in cash and a black HP Pavilion laptop computer from his living room.The other incident occurred on New Philadelphia Road in the village of Kaska, Blythe Township. The owner of the unoccupied property said forced entry was made by prying open a basement door. He said he did not believe anything was taken. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 8 and 14.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
