Trick or treat/trunk or treat

Bowmanstown: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Eldred Township: trunk or treat, 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Eldred Township Community Center.

Lansford: Lansford Alive will host Haunting in the Park from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday on the grounds of the Lansford Pool. The community is invited to sign up and hand out candy, as well as attend. Lower Towamensing: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Nesquehoning: Trunk or treat, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 26 on the grounds of the Nesquehoning Hose Company.

Palmerton: 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26.

Slatington: 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, trunk or treat sponsored by Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority. A variety of spooky activities are planned around the trunk or treat. Pumpkin chucking will return and refreshments will be available. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated trunks. Tamaqua: Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua is hosting a Trunk or Treat rain or shine, Sunday. on Mauch Chunk Street between Greenwood and Market streets. The event for families with children between the ages of 2 and 10 runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Families will receive a free pumpkin while the supply lasts. All Tamaqua area families are welcome.

Towamensing Township: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Weatherly: It’s a Special Halloween Dance Party will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Eurana Park Indoor Gymnasium/Pavilion at 560 Third St. in Weatherly. This event is for special needs individuals of all ages, their families and caregivers. All are invited to attend this first-time free event which will take place rain or shine. Officers from the Weatherly Police Department and firefighters from Weatherly Fire Department will be in attendance with their police vehicle and firetruck for safe Halloween fun. This event will include balloon tying, ring toss, pumpkin painting, monster picture corner, piñata pumpkin plus music by DJ Dotzel. A donation of a nonperishable food item to benefit the Shepherd House Food Pantry in Weatherly would be appreciated.
