Mr. and Mrs. Tom C. Gerhard, Packer Township, Weatherly, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 5. They were married in SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Beaver Meadows. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Watro.

Betty is the daughter of the late John and Mary (Chernanski) Kovalick, Beaver Meadows, and Tom is the son of the late John (Homer) Gerhard of Packer Township.They have five children: Tom J. and his wife, Susie, and Gary E. and his wife, Darlene, all of Weatherly; Gale Gazdick and her husband, Joseph, of Tamaqua; Colleen M. Gerhard of Weatherly; and Barry C. and his wife, Andrea, of Albrightsville.They have nine grandchildren: Jennifer and Kathleen Gerhard, Jamie and Jackie Gerhard, Matthew Gazdick, Tommy Superdock and Joshua Halecky, Blake and Hunter Gerhard.They also have three great-grandchildren: Blake, Brad and Ryan Superdock.Family and friends gathered for a brunch on Nov. 8 at Capriotti's Palazzo in McAdoo.
