Burglaries, mischief incidents investigated

State police at Lehighton reported investigating burglaries and criminal mischief incidents.

A burglary occurred at a residence on Old Sawmill Road in Kresgeville. Entry was gained by someone smashing a rear window to the basement.Once inside they removed about 20 bottles of various types of liquor. The incident occurred sometime between 9:12 and 9:25 p.m. on April 13.A break-in occurred on Line Lane in Kresgeville. The residence was entered forcibly through a rear utility room door. The criminals removed the furnace and damaged copper piping. The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 1, 2014, and April 1. The home is owned by a 85-year-old woman from Kunkletown.A home on Scheller Hill Road in Polk Township was entered through a garage window. The criminals rummaged through the residence in search of valuables and removed several college flags and a bottle of rum. The incident occurred sometime between March 1 and April 16. The home is owned by a 70-year-old man from Orlando, Florida.A residence on Emerson Road in Tannersville was entered. Removed was about 20 feet of copper wiring.The incident occurred during an unknown time-frame, troopers said.Troopers said a woman who lives on Kunkletown Road in Ross Township reported that someone caused damage to the front of her vehicle while parked at her residence. The incident occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. April 22 and 8 a.m. April 23.A 51-year-old Stroudsburg woman reported that while she was driving along Route 209 in the area of Burger Hollow Road in Monroe County at 6 p.m. Monday, someone threw an object at her vehicle, damaging the windshield.
