Two McAdoo residents jailed after domestic

Two McAdoo residents found themselves in the Schuylkill County prison on Friday after a domestic incident in the borough.

Police received a call late Friday from someone reporting there was a female in distress in the area of South Sheridan Street.Around the same time officers received a phone assignment to contact Victor Craig, 37, of 107 S. Sheridan St., McAdoo.Craig wanted to know if there was an active warrant for the arrest of Brandy Darrow, 37, who just happened to be at his residence. After confirming there were two warrants for Darrow's arrest, from officials in Luzerne County, officers went to the home and arrested Darrow. As Darrow was being taken away she said that Craig had just assaulted her. She told police she had been trying to leave the home when Craig grabbed the purse hanging on her arm, then threw her against a door. When she tried to get away he wrestled her to the floor. She was yelling for help during this time, loudly enough that a neighbor in the next block called 911 to report a female in distress.Darrow was taken to the prison due to the warrants.Craig was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $10,000 percentage. Unable to post the required 10 percent, he was also lodged in the county jail.
