Glenn Gehret of Albrightsville has been arrested by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks on a charge of simple assault stemming from a domestic disturbance at 5 p.m. Dec. 17.

Police said the incident happened at 115 Ginsberg Circle, Mount Pocohontas, Penn Forest Township.Police said the man was involved in a verbal argument with Karen Gehret, Albrightsville, that turned physical when the man struck the victim in the face, choked her around the neck with his hands and forced her to strike her head on the refrigerator door several times.
