The new $2.8 million Lawrence B. Morris Elementary School, located along West 10th Street in Jim Thorpe, was inspected today by members of the board of education, the school building authority, the school district administration, staff and guests.

Special guests of honor were retired school district superintendent Morris, his wife, Eleanor, and son, Lawrence. The dignitaries were given a tour of the two-story facility.The building is expected to be ready for occupancy on March 28, following the school district's Easter recess.
