A winter weather advisory remains in effect from 3 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Wednesday for snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Snow and sleet accumulations of around 1 to 2 inches are expected with ice accumulations up to around a tenth of an inch.

Snow will overspread the area during the afternoon hours. The snow will transition to sleet this evening before changing to freezing rain for the overnight hours.

Untreated surfaces will become snow covered and icy.

Even a light amount of ice could lead to hazardous travel conditions.

Temperatures will be in the 20s this afternoon, rising to near 32 degrees tonight.
