Car cruise benefits therapeutic horseback riding program

Tamaqua Street Machines Association will hold a car cruise from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine, to benefit Horses & Horizons Therapeutic Learning Center.

It is the second of four benefit car cruises that the organization has scheduled at Bear Rock Junction in New Tripoli.The car cruise features a raffle and dash plaques.Bear Rock Junction offers miniature golf, go-carts, train rides for the children, a picnic pavilion and snack bar. It is located at the intersection of Route 309 and Mountain Road on the south side of the Blue Mountain.Tamaqua Street Machine Association is a nonprofit organization that raises money for charitable organizations with their car cruises. Members enjoy displaying their cars, which include classics, muscle cars, antiques and street rods, at numerous local and national events.
