Lansford Police are investigating a home invasion that sent one man to the hospital.

At 4:30 a.m. today, officers were dispatched to 16 W. Abbott St. for an assault with a weapon.The weapon was described as "possibly being a machete."On scene, they learned the incident was actually a home invasion and two suspects had already fled the scene.The victim was transported to St. Luke'sMiners Hospital- Coaldale campus, with what is described as non-life threatening injuries.As of press time, police were still processing the crime scene and no arrests had been made. No other details were available.
