Theft incidents being investigated

State police at Lehighton reported investigating several theft incidents.

Steals from family member: Troopers said Maria Carcamo, 18, of 1951 Upper Smith Gap Road, Saylorsburg, allegedly stole over $17,000 from her elderly auntbefore the woman's death.Flea market theft: Troopers said a theft occurred at the Blue Ridge Flea Market, located at 648 Route 115, in Saylorsburg, Monroe County, on Nov. 13 between 8:30 and 11 a.m. Troopers did not state what was allegedly taken. The victim is a 70-year-old man from Albrightsville.Fraudulent charges: Troopers said a woman from Summer Mountain Road, Towamensing Township, reported at the barracks that fraudulent charges were placed on her credit card and two attempts were made to open new credit card accounts in her name.Firearms stolen: A 71-year-old woman from Pine Street in Polk Township, Monroe County, reported someone stole firearms from her residence. The incident was reported on Nov. 24.Theft from home: A 48-year-old woman from the 100 block of Main Street, Parryville, reported a theft occurred at her residence. Troopers did not give any other details except an investigation is continuing and the suspect is a 32-year-old woman from Lehighton.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
