Palmerton police have charged a Lansford woman and man after an incident on June 17.

Sara Herb, 29, was charged with criminal conspiracy. Adam Spino, 30, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.According to a criminal complaint filed by patrolman John Orsulak, here's what happened:Orsulak was asked to go to Palmerton Hospital concerning a stolen cellphone. He watched emergency room security camera footage taken from 10:30 p.m. July 16 to 12:15 a.m. July 17.A patient had his $649 iPhone 6 stolen while he was there. The victim had plugged the phone into a receptacle in the waiting room at 10:53 p.m. July 16. Soon after that, he was called back for treatment, and left the phone plugged in.At 11:55 p.m., Spino came into the waiting area with his wife and son. At 12:05 a.m. July 17, Spino is seen on the recording whispering to his son, who picked up the phone, unplugged it, and handed it to his mother, who handed it to Spino.Spino is shown wrapping the phone in a gray shirt and leaving the emergency waiting area at 12:08 a.m. July 17. He returned a short time later without the phone or the shirt.
