Palmerton Area School Board voted 8-1 tonight to move forward with the $21 million renovation project, which includes a junior high cafeteria and a multi-purpose turf field and stadium improvements.

Susan Debski said she voted against the project because of the turf field.

About 15 community members attended the meeting to find out about the project.
